ABOUT US
Charlenesuppa is an independent news publication for readers who want context, not noise. We cover national headlines, community stories, political developments, daily reports and global perspectives in plain English.
Who we are
We are a small editorial team of reporters, editors and data researchers working across the country and beyond. Charlenesuppa began in 2026 with a simple idea: most people do not need more news, they need clearer news. We publish fewer stories and spend more time checking each one.
Our mission
Help readers understand what changed, who is affected and what happens next. Every report aims to answer those three questions before it asks for your attention. We publish free, without a paywall, and we keep the archive open.
Editorial standards
We name our sources where it is safe to do so, link to primary documents, and separate confirmed facts from claims that are still disputed. Numbers are dated and traceable. Corrections are published openly and quickly, with a note explaining what was wrong. We take no sponsored placements and no pay-to-rank coverage.
The team
Maya Ellison covers national transport and housing, Daniel Okafor leads political coverage, Priya Raman reports from communities, Jonah Weiss handles data and household costs, Clara Nwosu writes on global affairs, and Marcus Lindqvist runs the daily desk. Freelance reporters contribute across all five desks.
How we are funded
Reader attention and responsible advertising fund the newsroom. We accept no money that comes with editorial conditions. When a story involves an advertiser, we disclose it in the article. Our independence is the product, and we protect it deliberately.
Talk to us
Corrections, tips and story ideas are welcome at Contact us or through our contact page. We read everything and reply to as much as we can.
Reported carefully. Written clearly. Free to read.
